This article concerns Mac OS X users only
With Finder as the active application, click on the Go on top menu, then holding the Shift key choose the Library item.
Then browse to following location: Library/Preferences/Avid.
And from this location please delete Pro Tools folder and com.avid.ProTools.plist file.
Then empty the Trash.
