Instruments in Nepheton in External mode are (by default) mapped as close as possible to General MIDI standard. Below you there's presented the mapping we have included within the plug-in.
|Note name||MIDI note number||Corresponding instrument's name|
Keep in mind that octave numbering is different in every host application. So note naming in the table above may not reflect how notes are presented in host application you use (especially concerning octave enumeration). Default mapping we built-in to the plug-in goes up starting from the beginning of the fourth lowest octave.
Multiple mapping (reappearance of a single instrument name in the drum map with different MIDI notes assigned) in drum map has no other purpose than making instruments more accessible and easier to find in the MIDI key range. It also make life easier in some other situations like when you want to do a drum roll or execute any other note ornament.
