Cannot use older plugins on MacOS 11 (Big Sur) or newer

Last update October 14, 2025 / This article concerns Mac OS X users only

We’re sorry for the inconvenience - The discontinued / legacy versions are not compatible with the latest macOS releases. This includes specifically:

  • Decimort 1
  • Devastor 1
  • Drumazon 1
  • Fazortan 1
  • LuSH-101
  • Nepheton 1
  • Nithonat 1
  • Phoscyon 1
  • Redoptor 1
  • Sigmund 1
  • Syntorus 1
  • Toraverb 1

What this means ?

The legacy (v1) editions of our products were developed for older macOS environments. Due to major system and architecture changes introduced by Apple, these versions can no longer be supported or run correctly on modern Macs.

How to continue using your products ?

You have two options:

  1. Upgrade to the new versions (v2.0)

    • All affected products have been updated and optimized for the latest macOS versions, including Apple Silicon support.

    • If you owned a legacy version license at the time when the new v2.0 version was released, you received a special upgrade coupon code that allows you to purchase the new version for a fraction of the regular price. These coupons are available in your User Area. Please note that licenses obtained through second-hand purchases are not eligible for upgrade coupons.

    • The v2.0 plugins function as separate products, meaning they are not backward-compatible with v1 versions and will appear as new instances in your DAW. Projects created with v1 plugins will not automatically load v2 versions - you’ll need to manually re-instantiate the v2 plugin and recreate or import your settings, as the v1 data cannot be transferred.

    • Apart from restored system compatibility, the new versions introduce a wide range of new features, workflow improvements, and enhanced sonic capabilities, offering greater flexibility, sound quality, and performance than before.

  2. Continue using your legacy (v1) products

    • You can still run them on a Mac with macOS 10.15 Catalina or older. However, we cannot guarantee stability or provide technical support on unsupported systems.

    • Legacy plugins support timeline can be found here:

Here is a link to a document containing compatibility charts for all our products - both current (release) versions and legacy (discontinued) ones - covering their entire history. You can use it to check the system requirements for the specific plugin version you’re using.
